About Niccoloo Strings

Why Niccoloo Strings and not Niccolò Strings?  Did we make a spelling mistake?  Every violinist and music enthusiasts would know who Niccolò Paganini is.  He is one of the greatest violin virtuosos of all time and has strongly influenced modern violin techniques.  We want to pay tribute to this legend, and by adding an extra “oh”, we want to project a playful image of bliss and delight.

Niccoloo Strings is the brainchild of local Hong Kong violist, Cass Ho and her violinist sibling.  Coming from a family of musicians and being music educators for over two decades, the sibling team founded Niccoloo Strings out of necessity.  As professional classical music performers, they are selective of their instrument and accessories.  This passion led them to try out new products and bring them into the Hong Kong market.  In 2018, they decided to consolidate their teaching studio with the retail of string instruments and accessories.  This one-stop-shop, not only has an online presence, but also a physical retail store in Wan Chai, near the vicinity of their alma mater, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.  Niccoloo Strings product range include: instruments – violin, viola, cello; and accessories – strings, mute, rosin, violin/viola/cello cases, fittings.
